Artiomas' success story
Artiomas has been in the construction industry for 7 years. Because of the war in Ukraine, Sweden has streamlined the procedure for issuing work permits to Ukrainians. Within a week of his arrival, Artiomas could begin working at Kovenda.

Vytautas' success story
Vytautas has been living and working in Sweden for seven years now. He began his career at Kovenda as a works manager.
“When I arrived, I was also impressed by friendliness of my colleagues; there was no competition, only a strong desire to help me get up on board as fast as possible. I left young, right after graduation, and obtained the best and most modern working conditions I could imagine”, says Vytautas, sharing his experience.
Three years later, he was promoted to Project Manager. Vytautas currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden, where he has bought a property.
‘There’s a shortage of real estate in Sweden, so new projects are constantly being developed. Buliders will have plenty of work here, he predicts.
Valdas’ success story
Valdas Mačiulis from Prienai has been working for Kovenda for the past six years. He had the chance to work in the construction sector in Lithuania, Denmark, and Germany. Attractive salary and good working conditions had brought him to Sweden where he and his co-workers work on facades.
Valdas is very much impressed by Swedish politeness, work ethics and the driving culture in the country. A native of Prienai jokes that every time he’s back home he seems to lose the ability to drive because he’s lost touch with the peculiarities of driving in Lithuania.
Valdas spends his free time like a true Swede – he likes to grab his fishing rods and go away on a fishing trip to the sea or a lake.

What are the working hours in Sweden?
We work in Sweden continuously – all year round. We work: I-V 8-9 hours/day, VI – 4 hours/day. Each employee is entitled to 5 weeks of paid leave per year, which must be pre-arranged with the supervisor.

Do I need a work visa? How do I obtain one and how long does it last?
Yes, a work visa is necessary for working with Kovenda AB in Sweden as well as a legally binding employment contract. The visa takes 3-9 months to prepare and is valid for 2 years. Once it expires, we process the documents for the extension of the visa. We handle all issues of the work visa and outline the procedure and fees during the interview (we can talk by phone or Viber).

What working conditions do we offer?
We guarantee continuous work throughout the year. We take care of working conditions in cold weather. We provide full working clothes (overalls, special boots, gloves, gloves, helmets), tools, equipment and materials. A supervisor oversees the work on site and answers questions. Breaks and lunch are provided. Travel to and from the work site and accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost. In most cases, workers are themselves responsible for it. More information will be provided during the interview.

What are the wages and payment arrangements?
We pay per square meter for the job completed. Experienced facade specialists may expect to earn between €2,500 and €3,200 NET (after tax). Wages are paid twice a month.
